I made a Deadpool cake for my son’s birthday a few years ago now (the first movie release). I made his whole body though! His dad took a photo of it… and then broke his phone so I lost the pic. I was so proud of that cake! But I wish I’d seen this one back then. Would have been so much simpler! Great vid!

Absolutely incredible, Zoe! Love the textured look of his suit. Little touches like that and your immense talent certainly sets you apart from the novice cake decorator. May I respectfully offer a suggestion for future videos? Maybe you could try spending a few seconds on-camera, at the beginning of the video, explaining what you'll be making, what inspired it, tools you'll use, etc. before you start with the shaping the cake. I say this due to many KZbinrs finding increased success by connecting and resonating with their viewers more. I really feel it would make your channel that much more personable. I realize you're a cake tutorial channel, but it might help bring in more people like myself, who watch you to see an amazingly talented person show off her talent. Idk, just a thought. Either way, I wish you all the success in the world!

How long can I keep this fondant cake? If I make it a week in advance and keep it in freezer, would it still be ok ? The look

You can freeze fondant cake, but you have to make sure you defrost it very slowly. As condensation will sit on the fondant making it wet and sticky as it goes from cold to warm. Depending on what's in your cake will determin how long it lasts, for example if there is no fresh cream or fruits it should last a week without being frozen, assuming it's not too warm in your house.

Everytime I use buttercream to cover my fondant cakes when I bring the cakes to room temperature (before serving) the fondant begins warping and looses its “sharp edges”. Any suggestions?
