My tongue set many fires ablaze for many years. While the fires have been extinguished, the damage of my words remains. It's a slow, sometimes debilitating process of renewal, but I have witnessed some saplings of reconciliation emerge from the ashes I created.

James is correct on this. I struggle with this everyday at work but feel conviction when I start to say something I know is not Jesus like but sometimes still let it slip and have to repent. Have a great day Vince!

@timborton4522 Thanks for being a member and being so honest, Tim! It’s encouraging to see how the Holy Spirit brings that conviction-it’s evidence that He’s working in you. We all slip up, but repentance is such a powerful way to realign our hearts with Jesus. Keep striving to reflect Him, even in those tough moments at work. His grace covers us and strengthens us to do better next time. Praying you have an amazing day too, brother-stay encouraged and keep walking in His strength! 🙏💪

Vince, here’s a short testimony about the power of the tongue. Shortly after my wife and I got married we found ourselves in an argument… I can’t even remember what the argument was about. I was determined to make her see I was right… I was gonna win this one🤣 As we argued I sensed the Lord telling me, to tell her, I loved her. Being right didn’t matter… my love for her was far more important than my pride. I eventually obeyed and told her I loved her. The argument stopped immediately… this became a standard in our marriage. Love each other over being right or getting our own way. The Lord has not stopped teaching us to yield to Him and practice “Faith in Action!” I see that so clearly now. We haven’t been perfect in this and we’ve had some tough moments but God has never stopped teaching and convicting us. 29 years later as we yield to the Lord, practice the “I love you”, rather than the “I’m right”… our marriage is thriving. God is so good and His word is true.

Vince, thank you for your regular teaching of the word. I have a Christian KZbin channel as well. I wanted to ask you if you would pray about doing an interview with me on my channel. Thanks
