Hi Emily, I am very new to IOD Transfers and I just purchased the 3 colorful Transfer books and the Gold book with a black and white transfer Christmas book as well. I love what you have done for your projects. I believe that red pot is a boiling insert with holes so you can boil something and then when you are done just lift it out of another pot. Maybe this pot at one time had a bottom part which held water and the other part acted like a strainer. My favorite project of yours is the birds. I am thinking about making a bird plaque for my mother in law who is 90 years old for Christmas. She would love it.

The last project is my favorite. I love the Crimson Velvet transfer set - I also got one, but I'm so stingy with it - don't want it to be used up. 😅 I think the red pot will look even more beautiful with clear wax to deepen the colour.

Thanks so much! You are right. I ended up waxing it with ageing wax after I finished the video and it really enhanced the red. Use your transfers you can always purchase another.😁

You can seal with wax or a clear matte spray. I would only lightly wash with a damp rag.

I don't know how to tell you this but trust me. That red bird pot is not a cooking pot. Honey, that's a thunder mug ,a chamber pot .❤❤ A pee pot. I'm sure you didn't know. I'm from the W.N.C. mountains and I have seen those and used them more times than I care to remember. And not just at my house and my grandma's. I do hope nobody made soup in that pot. But at least we didn't have to eat it,did we?😊
