Beasts don't necessarily suck; they're arguably best tribe at bullying people out of the game early and finishing 3rd. If you're just playing for top 4 they're fine.

It feels like playing for Top 4 is the only way to play the game at the moment. Tempo it out, hope nobody else out tempos you, secure your top 4, and attempt to scam out the other 4. Boring as hell, but efficient.

@@AleryZz thanks, but I'll never make it that high. I don't play enough, maybe a couple games a week. I'm still getting the increased points for getting 4th or higher. The highest I got last season was 7100

genuinely asking, how do you not tilt with that many games played? I got up to 9.6k over the last week, and bottomed out back to 7k from just facing people who had 200/200 minions on their board turn 9 for what felt like 80% of the games i played while trying to find direction being offered 4 tier 1 minions on the board tier 4-5, this meta makes me hate the game of just hit or die, duos are really fun when you have people to play with but this meta of extreme tempo take 15 turn 4 and 5 from people just hitting the nuts every single lobby is so infuriating to play.

Just dead inside :) For real though, I think mentally approaching the game to learn to get better prevents tilt. I don't expect to be any rating. I just want to be better acclimated to the game after this one ends than before it. Easier said than done when u deal w/ bad rng in quick succession, but overall it works fairly well.

A good way to improve and not tilt is every few games play something you would never play. You’ll learn about new synergies and actually like playing stuff that isn’t the best. It will let you play more flexibility and be more consistently strong through the game

The problem with beasts is that their ability to scale has been absolutely killed with bird going to 5. Really feels like bird should go back down to 4 and I feel hydra should go back up to 5, but have its attack scale along with its health. That might make them more viable late game.

yeah generally I agree, but I think this is one of those types of comps that has to suffer at higher ratings to not be oppressive to newer players. The design of the scaling concept is really hard to balance since you passively gain a static amount of stats. If people make better boards on average in your lobbies, then the static stat growth is less competitive. If people struggle to make big boards, then that static growth is much more effective.

I find beast more entertaining in duos but sometimes missing milk is annoying. Beasts are comedy in general atp

Rating means indeed nothing rn. Im at 4k. Ended the season at 8k6. Just didnt play enough for now. As usual bofur is right.
