Thank you. It was indeed one of the most stressful moments of my life. I do really like the result though. I think I even prefer it after the repair and that makes me really happy

Ohh the bleeps and blips of us cursing our mistakes seems to be a theme this year. So far I have had my own and have now seen both yourself and Jackson @Bigunitguitars join me in those little "Celebrations" of frustration. Well done on the recovery effort. that looks really cool and I can't wait to hear what you put together for a sound demo!

I guess that's part of it. It's not about avoiding mistakes. Those will happen either way. Sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches. I had quite a few people in a Facebook group suggest I'd burn it and start over. I think those are the worst kind of people. Everything is fixable even if it looks hard

@@caponemakesstuff Agreed take a look at what I did on my last project. I completely removed a neck and a structural part of the body and reconstructed that. I was actually just playing it working on the final set up.

Dude! Such a great looking uke! I wanna hear her voice! My mandolin build for freestyle is being constructed similarly, though I'm going thinner on the back and top and bracing them. Hoping for good volume and tone.

Could have filled the oversized jack hole with resin. Drill the resin smaller than the jack then use a thread tap to put threads in the resin and screwed the jack directly into the resin.
