Sweetie, the most important thing about it being your home and us loving you is you being you! Your style is why I watch. If you want to change your home, do it! You live there everyday. I personally love when you do these kind of videos and you talk more to us. I loved this one and can’t wait for the finished kitchen. Funny thing is I am not a big fan of the rustic farmhouse look. I don’t like browns for my home. Why I don’t know, other than we always had those colors growing up. So for me I prefer the blacks, whites and grays. But yours and many others, it looks great! Girl, my kitchen is farmhouse. It's a mix between farmhouse and modern farmhouse and my living room is more cut and clean and has pops of farmhouse in it. I'm a crafter and I'm I'm obsessed with mason jars. I've made the mason jar tissue holders and the bathroom where you put your toothpaste and your toothbrush and then one for q-tips and one for cotton swabs or rounds. Take your eye makeup off. I do all that stuff. I hand paint everything I go to the thrift store and upcycle things and that tends to do a lot better and my money is hurting because I found out about the cancer back in November when it was just one spot on my liver Joy. I missed Christmas last year. I missed spring miss summer. I've missed fall and I'll miss the Christmas. I got tons of stuff already made. I'm photographing it and selling it on OfferUp or Poshmark because I don't know if you have the same experience. If you sell anything on marketplace it's all fake stuff. People from Iran trying to buy something block. So yeah, needless to say I don't have a lot of inspiration right now. But chemo makes you very very sick.

I always love using colors. Especially earth-tones bc it makes your home look warm & cozy. I understand what you mean. When we put down our new vinyl flooring. I thought I would like what I picked out at Home Depot but when it was on my floor it looks too gray and modern. My mom was like this in her younger years. I'm more of a once and done kind of person. Maybe it's because I wallpapered and removed wallpaper too many times, and was constantly helping my mom rearrange furniture and flower arrangements. I was helping an extremely stylish friend of mine one day. She was trying to clean a ton of greenery. I plucked it all apart and put it in the bathtub to clean it. She came back and just about lost it. She said "how are you going to put all of those arrangements back together?" I said "easy, just like they were before." When I finished she was shocked. She said, "I had no idea you had talents like that." Mind you, I don't consider being able to decorate a talent. It was what my mom always made me do. It just seemed natural. However, you wouldn't think that if you came into my home. I have the same country/Victorian stuff I've had for 25 years. It's a rare day I change anything, unless it's to decorate for Christmas. Sometimes I'll trade places with pictures or something when I'm doing a deep spring or fall cleaning. Otherwise it stays the same. I think my mom burnt me out on constant change. I'm an old soul at heart and hang on to my old stuff, lol. But I do like watching you do it. 😁😳😂🤣💕😍

@@HomeSweepHome I don't live in the state I grew up in. When I call to check on my parents my dad is generally the one who answers the phone. I'll ask him what mom's doing, "he'll say decorating... What she's always doing....decorating." Then we have a good laugh. My dad is in his 80's, and my mom is in her late 70's and still at it. And you guessed it...when I go home she has me helping her with some new project. I'm a detailed organizer. She's a decorator. I guess that makes us a good team. I clean out closets and drawers. She clutters them up with boxes of seasonal decorations, lol. She's been decorating for Christmas for the past two weeks. It's going to be very hard on her when she gets too old to decorate all the time. I love her though. She taught me a lot. Even if I don't get excited to use all of those skills. 🤪😳🤪🤣😂🤣

You got to fix it so that contact paper want aggregate you . I painted mine and sealed it and starting to get a few chips in my high working areas . So I know how you feel . I got to get back on mine too . Just waiting till I feel better and get rid of this head infection still on antibiotic . ❤❤

Hey girl, the way i see it, you make money from KZbin, so I say if you want to change anything in your home, go for it!!! And it also gives you content too, extra bonus. To be honest, I had a gut feeling you were going to change it anyway once you had done the back plash. When we redone our kitchen backsplash this summer, we used the contact wall paper. It was a challenge to use since it was our first time. It wrinkled in some spots but overall, it looks good. I was tired of the green sheet rock behind the stove glaring at me for the past 12 years!

Have you thought about putting a thin type of plywood on top or your existing center island to cover up the defective areas. You could stain the wood or paint it🤷🏻‍♀️
