I know so many people love Austin, Texas! There's a lot to do there. First off, you've got to experience the live music scene on Sixth Street - it's legendary. You can see Texas Capitol Building too. If you're into art, Graffiti Park is a must-see for some vibrant street art. And when you need to cool off, Barton Springs is perfect for a dip in the natural spring-fed pool. The Lady Bird Lake Trail is perfect for a hike or bike ride with stunning views. Tex-Mex at Torchy's Tacos is a local favorite. And for a taste of Austin's nightlife, Rainey Street is where it's at with its bars and food trucks. Zilker Botanical Garden is another gem for a peaceful stroll. ACL Live at the Moody Theater hosts some incredible concerts and events. And if you're into the quirky, check out the Museum of the Weird. Plus, there's so much more to explore like the Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In and the boutiques on South Congress Avenue. There are a ton of outdoor activities like kayaking on Lady Bird Lake or visiting nearby attractions like Hamilton Pool Preserve. You can also use the app MeetUp to meet people!

Hi Izzy - I really hope you go self employed sooner than later , my friend , and leave behind the relentless American style 9 to 5 exploitative grind . However , if this is where you need to be right now , to learn the ropes et cetera , fair enough , but I just hope you find a more humane life - inner peace - career balance , European style . FYI , the Scandinavians are increasingly shifting to a 4 day , 6 hour a day working week with 5 weeks paid holiday minimum which has been proven to actually enhance and increase individual and corporate productivity and health ; 'time off' is as important as 'time on' ; your precious youth and joie de vivre is irreplaceable .
