Chemical transformations have always fascinated me and I've done a few (in my opinion) cool ones on this channel. For example, I turned my own pee into artificial sweetener and toilet paper into moonshine. For this one though, I'll be doing something that I've been wanting to do for years and I'll be turning plastic gloves into grape soda.
Procedure:
• Phthalic acid/anhydride: Borrowed from KZbinrs: NurdRage and UC235

Almost all of the glove except for the *Phthalate* he was looking for was filtered out immediately. So I kinda see it like saying I turned a "sandwich into pizza!" The first step is finding specific sandwiches that have tomatoes as an ingredient then process the sandwich until I only have tomatoes, then process the tomatoes until I only have tomato sauce add that to dough with cheese and pepperoni then cook it.

I know this is probably the least effective method of video idea suggestions, but here I go anyways. After watching this video and the cherry soda video, I felt that it would only be appropriate to turn it into a series. I believe that it should be possible to extract the Tributyrin in butter, turn it into butyric acid, and then to Ethyl Butyrate (The flavor of pineapples). So essentially, turning butter into pineapple soda. I'm not the smartest fella, but I'll let you figure out how to do it. I doubt Nile will ever see this or read this excessively long comment, but if he actually did it, it'd be pretty cool. Anyways, thanks for reading it if you do.

One of the things I really appreciate about these videos is not just the chemical knowledge, but knowing how to make the setups, like the separation funnel, the oxygen extraction, etc.
@psirvent8
@psirvent8 7 ай бұрын
Yeah, in theory anyone could try doing the same if they had a proper chemistry lab given how accurate the info is. Trouble is most of the chemicals are actually out of reach of individuals here in France and many other European countries. But funnily enough making proper explosives on the other end is actually quite simple and the ingredients can still be bought by anyone to this day. However it gets old quite quickly. A homemade firecracker will only go boom like any other old firecracker whereas making soda from gloves or paint thinner looks more appealing on the other end.

What he has done in this video is studied in high school between the third and fourth years here, if they are far from something is from being out of ordinary chemistry. That being said, this dude's most impressive quality is the practical one: his instrumentation is great for home made standards, but it isn't that special when compared to basically any lab, even below average ones. If he had access to such instrumentation, he would absolutely blow everybody's mind I bet. Both his knowledge and way of working just border on perfection, after all. That stuff is expensive, a single pyrex becker that big costs at least 150 bucks just fyi.
