Rudeus and his friends, iirc Zanoba and Cliff, travel to the holy capital to retrieve the tome that supposedly can help cure her. They fail and Cliff dies. Elinalise is heartbroken and leaves. Eventually, Roxy dies. Rudeus and the rest of his cohorts are declared heretics. Most of them get slaughtered when Rudeus is away, iirc he was lured out. He exacts his revenge by slaughtering the local holy Knights branch. Heartbroken and discouraged, Rudeus turns to drinking to forget his troubles. Sylphy fails to get through to him and their relationship takes a turn for the worse, eventually leaving to assist Ariel in her conquest for the throne. Without Rudeus's intervention she and Ariel's cohorts are slaughtered by the guards and sword Saint apostles on Hitogami's side. He finds her corpse hanging on a pike after experiencing much torture. Rudeus goes on a destructive path of revenge, forsaking most of his morals and even becomes a grapist at his worst. One of his targets was demon lord Atofe. At this point in time, Eris was also shadowing him and challenging him at certain points since fighting is all she knows and to somehow prove herself to him. He misunderstands and grows to hate her as well, eventually beating her but all it did was make her weep thinking she's no longer of use to him. At a crucial battle between Atofe, she shields Rudeus from a fatal blow and dies from it. Ghislaine explains her actions before leaving which drives him further in regret and despair, leading him to an obsessive desire to exact revenge on Hitogami just like Orsted. He eventually learns fragments of time travel magic and the rest is this short here onwards.

I actually got chills when his name came up, reincarnated in a completely new world with only the possibility of two people knowing what he looked like before coming to this world.. But NOBODY except Rudy knows his name from Earth.. Not even the gods unless they search through his memories could know his name from Earth.. So anyone knowing that name would immediately stop time for Rudeus, not understanding why some old man knows his name especially after his convo with Hitogami.. It's such a shock to any character thinking nobody would know his previous life only to have a metaphorical truck-kun hit him.. I'm not sure if having time travel is good writing or not but that drop is amazing.. Still need a story about Oldeus' life! Would love and hate that!
