@@mnomadvfx Plot twist, they hate the treats, every time they throw up their hands they are actually begging the zookeeper to leave them alone but the zookeepers are evil and give them treats anyway, but it's so incredibly sadistic that we think it's much more likely the red pandas are just being cute and the zookeepers are being nice.

To me it just seems like it's just pushing away from one old trope for the new modern trope, this just screams your basic rebel formula, just from this one trailer it's easy to see where it's heading, I mean the main character said it themselves."I've always been perfect little MeiMei(sorry if I misspelled it)" her emotional state will be the key, and I'd put money on that during the whole movie her parents will attempt to show her the old cultured way to suppress or control her "panda form" and she'll reject saying that it's outdated or something to that effect, ultimately she'll be in the right somehow and her parents will be like "we should have listen to you" or something, this movie and that new Hispanic one just screams culture pandering to me, it feels forced, hopefully I'm wrong and we get another hit like "Coco" but looking at disneys record so far as of 2020 I'm not convinced, Disney doesn't innovate any more, they just follow the trends

I’ll wait until the movie comes out before I decide which suits her and the movie better, but right now, I’m kind of liking the feeling the second option more, could make the story a bit more interesting… Also, as a kid who grew up in the nineties, I’m more than over the moon that the first trailer had a song by the Backstreet Boys and this one has N’SYNC!

This movie looks adorable! And I like how they didn’t go the usual route of a character turning into an animal and staying that way for the entire movie (Brother Bear, Brave, Princess and the Frog, etc.) She is able to turn back human and stay that way until her emotions change her. This is seriously giving me American Dragon Jake Long vibes.

I just realized something. In the teaser trailer Mei seemed like a quiet reserved person. Now I understand this because it shows that she was a loud eccentric person, but the red panda thing forced her to be more reserved. Huh.
@chicknnuggest8533 жыл бұрын
nah i just think that was the day (after) she first turned into a giant red panda. it explains why she was wearing a hat, so no one would ask any questions about her new hair color. so Mei Mei was probably just quiet because she was trying to not draw any attention and feel any strong emotions that would turn her into the panda. but i don't think the moral will be that "if you're too loud, you should change your personality" or "being loud is just a phase" edit: also 1:52 is probably the day (after) she first turned into the panda too. look at how she's trying to "push the panda back in" while her friends aren't looking.

Ming's attitude towards Mei's transformation reminds me Agent Smith. "One of these lives has a future.And one of them does not." Ming is the true portrait of social imposition. And therein lies the distinction. Ming says what needs to be done, Mei does what she wants. This is the right thing to do - Within Limits.
