"Turning the Tide" - Broadview Public School (Singing Club)

Broadview Public School's Singing Club is thrilled to enter the CBC Music Class
Challenge for the first time. Our club is comprised of dedicated grade 2 and 3 singers
who spent many lunch hours learning Luke Wallace's inspiring song, "Turning the Tide".
Our superstar accompanists are grade 4, 6 and 7 students, also from Broadview. Living
in Ottawa, we don't all have experience with ocean tides. Therefore, to fully dive into
the lyrics we looked at maps and photos and listened to first hand accounts of whales,
water and Canada's beautiful west coast. We made connections to the waterways
surrounding us here in Ottawa and reaffirmed our commitment to keeping our natural
world as beautiful as possible, no matter where we live.
