When I started in tech I did not expect every woman to be Sandi Metz, but I did respect them all the same. Now, everytime I see a woman with a platform, talking at a conference or or podcast I start having a PTSD episode and ask myself "she's gonna start talking about women in STEM".

I get where you're coming from, and I understand the frustration when certain topics feel overemphasized. However, Linux Out Loud isn't focused on pushing any particular agenda, including women in STEM. I approach tech from a place of passion, without prescribing to the view that women need special advocacy. Here, it's all about tech (plus our crazy off topic blatherings), and we like to keep the discussions focused on what we love-Linux, open-source, gaming, 3D printing, robotics, etc... If you choose to stick around as a listener, I'd be interested in some feedback on the show. - Wendy
