Vegas has lost me. I can fly to S America for $450, stay in a sick room with a jacuzzi for a week for $250, and uber almost anywhere for $2 a ride. I can eat at the 2nd best restaurant in the world for $125. I can play blackjack, slots, roulette, and poker. Even the shootings and robberies cost less. Vegas needs to step up its game, or it might price itself out of relevance.

Exactly, we used to go 2-3 times a year on and off from 1978-2019, but no more. The middle class. (The engine of any economy) is starting to not be able to afford Vegas , let alone gamble . I think ‘one and down’ is where we’re at with Vegas with the number of return visits dropping, like myself. Plus there are hundreds o locale casinos especially where I am, no tax on wins, no kids, strollers or dogs, free parking, no fees , great comps,great hospitality, and no smoking. One things I think Vegas could do to help is to try to turn half the Casinos in Vegas as Adult Only. When I first went to Vegas I went because it was Adult Only, the only place in the world like it. Now it is Disneyland w gambling.

I can afford to gamble still but only because of comps! Have a trip booked for my husband’s birthday in March staying at MB. Friends want to join us and the cost for a 4 night, midweek stay is over $1800. Flight for 2 is $1100. Consider food and drink prices and you have nothing left for gambling 🤷‍♀️. Needless to say they decided not to join us. Considering how things are going in this country businesses will start hurting soon and Vegas will be no exception! Greed is killing everything and everyone 😡

I have the money but just not interested enough. I can go to my local indian casino and gamble. Reasonable room fees, food, no resort fees, no parking charges, and I even win money sometimes. No Vegas is dead to me but that is OK because I had my fun years ago.

I was on a flight last Wednesday headed to Vegas and breaking news popped up on the headrest of the plane and helicopter collision that was crazy, it was my 11th trip stayed at ELara, I had a better time off strip than I did on the strip, I will never stay on the strip again it has changed so much, we went to a casino called Jerry’s Nugget In North LV and had a blast I had never heard of it before. They happy hr lasted from 4 to 10😂

When I lived in Vegas I routinely drove by Jerry's Nugget on my way to Nellis AFB. Never stopped there but maybe when I return I will check it out. Also, other than special occasions or to splurge, there's no reason to go to the strip other than to spend a HUGE amount of money for very little return.

I wish they would just rebuild the Circus Circus hotel and make it beautiful. They should make each one of the buildings, a different color while keeping that vintage style with a mix of modern additions because I know the Circus Circus one of my favorite hotels.

Superb content. I dealt blackjack and craps in the worst casino in St. Louis. It was in a rundown riverboat, located in a not particularly vibrant and less than bustling downtown riverfront area. This was back when Missouri still had $500 loss limits and our casino closed every morning.

I try to work around the high LV costs by using good strategy. But mistakes hurt. I offered a drink to 2 friends at the hockey game. One got a double, the other a single, I got an IPA. $150, the tip was more that I expected to pay, $27. I saw the screen and pretended to not be shocked. I am afraid the strip will have a reconing like the wine industry, or the diamond industry. When the market just falls off, overnight. I hope not, but shocking guests is bad strategy. The Wynn started charging for parking when the Sphere opened. Fountainblue did it when they recognized Convention Center patrons parked a block away, at FB for free. Concrete convnetion clogged parking for many blocks.

This increasing the glitz as well as gouging with higher and high charges seems to finally be biting them where they sit down. Unless I am attending a convention I'll chose Fremont Street or a locals place. According to one response other places offer better deals and less expensive to fly to. Wonder what it's going to take down there. Being a resident of the north sad to say our casinos up here haven't gotten the message.

Vegas used to be fun now its just a rip off. Been going to vegas for almost 20 years 2 or nore times a year. Went in January and Ill never go back.. 25 dollar hamburgers and 11 dollar cups of coffee! Slots went from 5 cent and quarters to dollars some machines are like 7 bucks a spin. This is unaffordable for most people. Vegas killed itself with corporate greed
