Ive been into hardcore for over a decade and theres no other bands making shit like this. Theyre not the first band to make positive and upbeat hardcore music, but they created a formula that makes it marketable to the main stream. It's crazy and they deserve all the success theyve been getting.

I was in a similar boat. At a certain point, years ago, I was looking for more modern hardcore bands to get into and I stumbled across them. I liked their shit, but it didn't blow me away. Then they dropped Glow On and that record is incredible. Just saw them live last night in Pittsburgh. I've seen a lot of shows at that venue but I've never seen 90+% of people in the pit/floor area dancing, jumping, and moshing for pretty much the entire show before. They also did the Bad Brains thing where they would play like two fast songs and then slow it down for one and then bring it back, giving people a break in the pit. It was one of the best shows I've seen. They've really nailed a lane for themselves. Also, that record is so superbly engineered. Whoever did the work on that is a wizard.

Mike Elizondo! he's produced songs for everyone from Eminem to Carrie Underwood to Fiona Apple. Adam Hawkins, who's worked with a similar number of diverse artists mixed it. it's an insanely great sounding album, perfectly mixed imo.

Saw them live and it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It was chaotic yet the most friendly environment I’ve ever been in. They deserve everything they’re rewarded. Pure insanity in the best way possible

The beauty is the simplicity. I literally heard this band for the first time yesterday, this song in particular. I learned it within 30 minutes on guitar and bass. It's relatively easy but so so so well written. There's tons of KZbin videos of guitar virtuosos but hardly anybody can write a song. This is a perfect example of how to do it.

i've been a fan of Turnstile since i heard their 2nd EP Step 2 Rhythm back in like 2013 or 2014. i've loved every album they've put out since and they were always one of the bands i'd mention if someone asked what kind of music i liked but something really changed when i heard Holiday. the TLC short film they put out hit me like a bolt of lightning and they went from one of my fav bands to my number one favorite band over night. i know that feeling you're talking about so well. when you first discover a band and they're making music just for YOU, it hits you in a place that you can't put into words. i've only had it a few times since becoming an adult, but this album was one of those moments. :)

Nobody is doing quite what Turnstile do right now, but you can hear their roots in 90's post-hardcore bands like Texas is the Reason, Handsome, Civ (I actually hear A LOT of Civ's hated second album Thirteen Day Getaway in Glow On), etc. It's cool to go back to Turnstile's early, very hardcore, EPs and listen to the progression through their later albums. Everything was there at the beginning, but in very small amounts that grew each release. It manages to feel very natural and yet still somehow surprising. Good for them, those guys work their asses off, everyone is in like 2 or 3 other bands.

@@mimidreamy6726 Title Fight didn't do it all themselves, but they have a lion's share in making this all possible. if it wasn't for Shed and Floral Green, i don't think we'd have a lot of the hardcore and post-hardcore bands getting the attention they have now and so many of the scenes that have blown up.
