This record player was made from cans. Due to the use of an electric motor from a cassette recorder, the turntable received a speed control of the disc.
To adjust the pressure of the needle to the plate, a paper clip is used, the position of which determines this force. As an anti-skating, a spring is used, which is also a cable connecting the headshure head to the amplifier connection socket.

The soundtrack music was so annoying, I couldn't watch the video. Use real music with a melody.

I agree with you! But, unfortunately, you have to pay for good music. And my channel does not bring in any tangible income so that I can afford it.

It is possible to buy a real vinyl needle, chearch the pinout and then connecting it to the audio out ?

@@IurisWorkshop I mean, you built the turntable, and then if you want better quality sound, you can try putting it. I also saw that turntable needle have 4 pins, 2 for + and - for the L channel and same for the R channel. In all case I like your work !

@@MoodyRiffs Thanks for the comments and high rating! I hope you can guess that I have a decent turntable at home. I did this project not at all to listen to music, but simply for fun. And although the turntable worked, I disassembled it immediately after filming the video. This is what I do with most of my projects.

@@IurisWorkshop Yeah I understand, I also like doing DIY projets, and I always wanted to make a home-made turntable as a new project, and I saw your video that inspire me and giving me ideas. I like making things by myself so I don't really want to buy a ready-made turntable, because like you said it's fun, and I just have 1 vinyl disc 😅, an old disc I got from my grand-mother, that I never listened it. I will repost a comment when I made it !

@@MoodyRiffs If you have perfect pitch, then you can convert any inexpensive turntable, significantly increasing the mass of the platter. Making from scratch is much more difficult. To listen to music normally, you need a corrector amplifier configured for a specific cartridge.

To my regret, you are also among those who think that a steel needle is harder than a diamond or corundum needle. The problem is not the wear of the disc, but the wear of the needle.
@Hasse.Andersson
@Hasse.Andersson 2 жыл бұрын
@@IurisWorkshop Well, I have first hand experience of a "steel" needle. In my very young youth I "tried" to use one (A sewing needle) it really created some cool grooves that was heard later on when played with a real needle. So I used me own experience as a reference. I do not think it is about hardness but the shape of the needle and how smooth it shape becomes. Somehow I did not expect the method used to create it to be very accurate - my mistake?
@IurisWorkshop
@IurisWorkshop 2 жыл бұрын
@@Hasse.Andersson Yes, the sound quality depends on the shape of the needle. That's why I showed in the video that I changed the shape of the tip of the pin. But what you see when you play the disc is not chips, but ordinary dust. It's just that in real life we don't notice it, even if the needle is diamond.
