It has a spring system, which works the same as counterweight. Magnetic cartridge.

I have the same gramafon but the sound is very very low ,do I need to connect with speakers or something else? There are two cords white and red from the gramaphone pls help ??

Hi.This white and red cords connect to the amplifier input "PHONE". ;_)

It has a preeamp switch on the bottom. You don't need the phono input when it's on.
