Turtle Build Series! This is part 3 of a multiple part series on building turtles! Today is Day 189 of the Metal Relic video challenge! The script is mine, the voice is AI's.
We are now adjusting and welding the belly plates onto the shells. Each one takes some minor tweaks with the hammer to make them fit the way I want them to. Since they are all from the same clutch, they are very consistent in their shape and build.
Once the shells are completed, I start welding the legs on. I've used a few different fasteners over the years before I settled on these. I think the next version, I am going to bend the legs a bit, and maybe add some other details that will surely spruce them up.
The last bits are the tail and the head. Then off to clean them up and powder coat.

Once I gain some more momentum and get the shop situation figured out, I want to start doing lives. I may be able to do them on multiple platforms at the same time. We shall see what the difficulty and the learning curve is on both. I really like making the videos and hope to continue to do so in the future. Sometimes it feels like an uphill battle.
