Love that you take the time to review these sorta things that are actually pretty useful to the average occasional diy'er types when deciding what products to use. I feel like that segment tends to be forgotten about quite often and everyone only reviews or points out stuff catered to enthusiasts and professionals, but there's lots of stuff like this that can actually be useful for people that just want to try fixing their headlights on their day off.

It is possible to get results with this kit also but you have to keep using the wet sanding pads until the yellow oxidized plastic is gone. I went about 8 -10 times each side until there was no more yellow.

I used this speed kit tonight on my 2010 Audi Q5 with yellowing headlight lens. Instructions said to use the polish FIRST and if results are not as desired continue with step 2 which is the wet sanding. I followed the instructions and my headlights look great. Certainly not new looking but very much improved. I got the speed kit because it was the only one Walmart had.

@@cambian I’d already bought the kit and just wanted a tutorial, I’ve just used it on my 03 mx5 and it worked really well, they weren’t too far gone ,after about 30-45 minutes of elbow grease, just sanding away, polishing, rinse & repeat I was happy with the results, I wasn’t expecting a £200 finish and tbh that’s not what I got, however it’s a vast improvement over not having done it

I wonder if you have gone through the the Turtle Wax Kit on your headlight you would still be able to use Rustoleum clear coat protectant as the protectant against UV rays.

Your welcome! I could see 2400 grit, but none of those sanding pads are 800 grit, definitely not that aggressive.

Wow! You really should have used the wipes. The kit doesn't really does not come together...UNTIL YOU USE THE WIPES! If you are not going to follow the directions on a product completely, than how can you get an accurate judgement of the product...YOU CAN'T FOLKS! But this guy seems to just want to keep talking about his way of doing things rather than a true review of a product.

This is the second video I have watched on this product. May I ask how this is a review if you don’t follow the intructions or follow the proper steps. The last video I watched following the proper steps worked really well. Beat out the 3M. You needed kit T240KT for that lens.

I agree, I've seen this product in other reviews where they followed the directions and it worked great on a light just as cruddy as this one.

Great review. I’m always gonna be a fan of the 3M kit that comes with the drill attachment. The turtle wax is too much elbow grease to put in, work smart not hard 😂. Thanks for your review

3M kit is the ultimate its the only one that uses the correct grit sizes + the trizact p3000 to give maximum clarify and shine!!!🇬🇧😉👍

I prefer 3M Rubbing Compound but you also need to apply sealant.

@@cockeyedoptimista You simply need something like a form of ceramic coating or you can clear coat them. The clear coat is the price of a can of spray paint. Recently I tried the Rain-X CeramiX. Neither option is very expensive.

Haha wow I wish I watched this video before purchasing this kit. My car is 20 years old and it does NOTHING. Been sanding and applying that solution forever. Definitely need to go find that other turtle wax solution.

Agreed Cormo, just follow the instructions as we would and show the results, never mind adding his own bits and wiping off the acrylic with his cloth. Feels like a waste of my time. 😁

I used the comprehensive kit and it worked so well. Super impressed. Maybe the quick kit was crap, but the better kit was great. Also.. you're pronouncing it as "Oxidisation", but its just oxidation or oxidised.

Well, for many people it does the job right.... Perhaps the instructions were not followed accordingly or you used the product on lenses that are way beyond the product intentions...
