Hey yall! i made this project and usually wear a medium-large in regular shirts, so I added about ten chains to whatever Dana reccomended for her size in the video. I used Bernat velvet yarn, and my sweater is waaaaaay bigger on me than i expected. I should have just added about five chains on top of what Dana did in the video, but my sweater is still cute nonetheless. this is also the first garment I've crocheted and it was not too hard by any means! great video Dana, I will be making just about everything you post!!!

Also i used just under two balls of the Bernat velvet yarn

I don't know what's wrong! Even though my yarn is a little bulkier than yours, chaining 42 is waaaay too little!! I don't chain tight and I'm pretty petite, I tried with 58 and it's still little. How long is your foundation chain in cm or inches?

where did you learn this stitch and pattern? or do you just experiment
@loretta25394 жыл бұрын
She said in a Q&A video, the patterns for her crochet videos were a combination of experiments and written patterns. If she liked a sweater design she trys to recreate it 😊

Hey Dana, this tutorial is really nice and I'm planning on making it, but I'm not sure which hook to use since I don't have the 8mm that you used. My yarn is size 4 medium and I have the hooks 6.5mm and 9mm. Which one would you recommend?

Can you tell me what you do at the end of 2nd row? This is where you skipped stitch to start 1st row. I have a loop and doesn't look right

Hello! I was just wondering how many single crochets you should have at the end of row 3. Do you continue pattern into the chain 4 you do initially!?

Hey, I know it's been a while since you've posted this, but could you tell us the measurements of the pieces? I did 18 rows for the front and back pieces, but they seem to be too small for me. The 42 chains are fine, thought. I live in another country, and sometimes it's hard to get similar yarn, since we don't even measure yarn by weight. I guess that's why it's so small :(

if i don't have an 8mm hook, what other hook size (bigger or smaller) would you recommend?
@zoemcafee73627 жыл бұрын
I would go for a bigger hook!! But it is really up to you, a bigger hook will make looser stitches and a smaller hook might make it tighter. A bigger hook might give it a more slouchy/oversized look!

pink is not witchy - I have seen plenty of crochet videos with black, sparkles, stripes nails which ARE distracting - these pink blend right in.
