Judging from the coloration and the fact that it is in Missouri those are most likely Three-toed Box Turtles (Terrapene carolina triunguis)

Last year whe lost our house in a flood here in Quebec .. whe add to demolish the house and mouve ... I had a 20sq. Feet atifical pound and every year there was a wild turtle that came from the wood's behind the house and spent the summer in the pond.... now whe have a new house but I miss my pond whit the turtle's and frog's 😔.... maybe I'll try next year to dig one 😊

Those are three-toed box turtles, not Easterns. Also, his "male" (2nd box shown) is a female, the really colorful one you showed first is a male.
