"Lord Devon," owning the turtle "Timothy," has made him world famous. No one had ever heard of the Earl of Devon, until he began appearing in wildlife documentaries due to having owned said turtle. Even Wikipedia tells of the turtle Timothy, and noted "Timothy (circa 1844 - 3 April 2004) was a 5 kg (11 lb) Mediterranean spur-thighed tortoise that was thought to be about 160 years old at the time of her death. This made her the UK's oldest known resident.[3] In spite of her name, Timothy was female; how to sex tortoises was not properly known in the 19th century. "

Poor Timothy needs his nails cared for. Pause at 4:41 & you'll see. It looks uncomfortable.
