Mailee Chang Re: My Uncle Meeting his Wife's family Ghost: Do I believe in ghost? I've never once believed in ghost because I've never seen one, but my perspective on ghosts have changed because of multiple experiences I've dealt with around family members and friends. One of the experience that had led me to believe that ghosts might exist is because of my uncle's experience with an unexpected ghost. Somewhere late in the year of 1998 in Sacramento, Ca, my uncle married his girlfriend from North Carolina. First, he barely knew the history of his girlfriend and her family, but love was all that had mattered to him so her history did not matter. A few months after she came down to his hometown Sacramento, CA, he noticed her mood swings and split personalities affecting her relationship with his family members. My uncle attended church and tried not to let the word ghost bothered him too much because God was by his side to protect him from evil and harm. As months went by, his wife and him decided to take a trip to the bay area to enjoy the beach. He noticed his wife staring at the water for a long time and she had told him that she saw an eye blinking at her down in the water. He got a little freaked out so he took her home and did not make a big deal out of it. Another month went by, they were out watering his mother's garden, which is connected next to my parent's garden as well, for my parent's duplex is next to their duplex. Anyway, this was late at night around 7pm when they had decided to water the plants, and within 20 minutes later, my uncle was beating on my parents' door shouting "open right now, fast please!" My dad opened the door and my uncle face was pale along with his wife by his side, and my uncle said "my wife just saw a ghost, it's chased us!" My dad said, "when did this happened?" My uncle said " 10 minutes ago." I recall that 10 minutes before my uncle had banged on my parents door and shouting, I remember standing in front of the kitchen window with my dad chit chatting while he was smoking a cigarette and blowing it outside of the window that overlooked my mother's garden. My dad and I recalled a gush of wind blow hard out of nowhere and seeing my mother's tall plants splitting in half as if something tall had ran right between them. The thing is that my father and I did not see an animal or anything run in between my mother's tall plants. Weird! So, connect what my father and I saw along with my uncle's story of how he tried to slice the ghost in thin air with the knife after it had chased them to his duplex, out back to their garden, and how it took off quickly to my parents' garden because he had cut something because he felt himself cutting something hard. Seriously that just gave me goosebumps connecting the timing of my father and my seeing my mother's tall plants with my uncles ghost running into my mother's garden. Anyway, my uncle never saw anything except for his wife saying she saw a little girl with white long hair, red eyes, and a very pasty pale face, so he tried to fight off whatever was there whenever she pointed at the ceiling, couch, etc. That following night, my parents and some of my siblings went over sitting for my uncle and his wife so they would not be so freaked out. My dad had also used a shaman magical rock and lit it to see if there were any ghosts around. The flame had turned blue, in which it meant there were ghosts around. So my dad made a spell to protect my aunt with wood being burnt and dropped in water, and then he had sprinkled and spread the water onto my aunt. Within minutes, my aunt started itching everywhere saying "they are making me itch, they want to take me, they want me to itch so I can scrape off this protection spell water." Creepy right? Next after a few minutes, the phone rings at my uncle's duplex, and my sister decided to answer the phone and before she said "hello," she hears a couple of females laughing in the background in a witchy voices saying exactly in English "hahahaha that's what you get for, we are coming for you." Suddenly my sister realized the call was for my aunt and she freaked out and threw the phone on the ground. Within minutes my aunt threw up all over my sisters green blouse. Before this whole paranormal activity with my uncle, my brother said he recalled an incident about a few weeks ago. He said that he remembered riding his bike past my uncles gated garden that connects to my parents backyard and noticed seeing my sister wearing her green shirt climbing over my parents gate like a weirdo, cave man style in description, over to my uncle's garden, and then over into his kitchen window. What the heck was that? Anyway, the next day the Hmong lady who sells veggies in her van shows up around 7am to do her business; however, my mom got out there around 7:15am and did not see the lady at all. My mother had called the lady and the lady said she did not come out of her car after seeing a bleeding little girl with white hair and red eyes sitting on the sidewalk crying. She just drove off all freaked out and ready to have her husband bless her with some kind of shaman spell. Again goosebumps! Later on, my uncle took his wife to go see a monk and the monk said she her family side isn't clean, and her ancestors could not rest in peace and want her as a replacement for them to be free. Overall, this whole ordeal gave me a new perspective on ghosts and I think there is something out there that's more than just science.
