The US enforces child support for Laos? BS. I've never heard such a thing. Even Lao citizens don't have child support. Plus, child support isn't automatic. You need to go to court and a judge need to order it. Even children in the US don't automatically get child support so how can his kid in Laos automatically get it. Plus, if you go to the US Dept of Health and Human Services, under the Office of Child Support Enforcement, there's a list (recently updated) with countries that have agreements with the US on child support, you'll see that Laos isn't on the list. I think she's lying, has no idea what she's saying, or just guessing to make herself feel better. Also, I don't think US enforces child support for Laos cuz where would the child support money go cuz I bet his Hmong Lao wife doesn't even have a bank account in 2016... like most of the Hmong Lao even today. So, her statement about child support is BS.

A lot of BS in this story. I think it's made up to make herself happy. No way is a life in Laos worth $100,000. Back in the 2010's, if you kill someone in Laos, you only need to pay $5k. Even the recent case of Mai's Kwm's murder, the most Ger and his family will end up paying for Mai is $20k at most. Plus, my understanding is, in Laos, an accident between a motorcycle and a car and the person on the motorcycle dies, the driver of the car pays, even if it's the motorcycles fault. Plus, this npam crap... it happens to someone else in the family not even the bad person him/herself but you say it's because of npam. She failed to see that the person who's "npam" is also herself cuz she lost her husband, her money and she will get very sick and die too in the future... like everyone. People like her talk as if they will never meet misfortune, never get sick, and never die.
