Wow! Sorry for your loss. I don’t think you could have convinced your mother to leave him. She didn’t when you were young and that’s when you needed her the most. Your mother lost her life because she loved her husband more than her own life. Thank you for sharing your story.

I am so sorry for what happened to you and your dog... I feel your pain and totally understand the love you had for your dog. I loved mine so much too... I just put my dog down because she was very old and in so much pain... I am still crying for her and miss her every day. Oh my heart hurts for you. I had remarried and took my then daughter 6 years old with me, she is 10 years old turning 11 and my now ex husband of 3 months also did the very same thing to my daughter. Im sorry this happened to u. As a fur mom, we are responsible for our dog’s life. U should always be aware of him doing harm to u and ur dog. Sadly, u werent aware at all, and ur dog had to face tragedy. If he already wanted nothing to do with u after u told ur mon about the incident, that means u should not have him watch ur dog, period. Anyways, glad u found closure. Lesson learned to be a better fur mom. Sorry for ur loss. Im sure ur mom was probably being abused by him and that was why she didn’t want to see u to worry about her. He probably threatened her too, so she felt stuck with him.

Such a sad story, that should have never happened. But, oh, it happens so often. Humanity on the wrong and confused side. It's not easy understanding right or wrong in how to handle internal self contractions of wants and desires. The Self Independence concept comes with a heavy price if not well understood. The price is a lack of social moral support. Without good support, any personality can fall heavily deranged and cause extreme harm. It's not easy to see or understand these personalities. The only way to protect yourself is to be stay alert and work on strong respect so you can keep abuse at bay. Don't stay in a toxic environment, some are devoid of hope.

I’m sorry for wat happened to u sister, but u r right. Most step fathers are evil. My stepfather was Hmong. He did the same thing to me. The family hid it and till this day I have not been on same terms with my mother even though my evil stepfather is dead.
