I usually don’t wear my mask above surface for more than two minutes per dive, so the Paragon is a very elegant solution for a problem I don’t have.

Some of us like to keep our masks on even above the water such as myself, so this mask is very nice for those of us who do like it I keep our masks on above the water. I understand that not everyone does though.

Would you expect the Paragon S to fit the same as the Paragon (in terms of how well the skirt seals on your face)?

Yeah, the only difference should be the small bridge between the eyes. The sealing surface should be exactly the same.

Hi Mark. I’ve got the VX1 UV cut mask, but I’ve been wondering how I pre-treat it before diving. How do you pre-treat UV masks? Can you use the same technique as a clear lens? I don’t want to scratch it! Thanks

No, I'd be very careful with any coated lenses. One of the reasons why the UV VX1 took a while to be released is that they couldn't get the coating to stick properly. Ask Apeks what they recommend, and let us know if you could. I don't want to recommend anything that could damage your mask...

So Apeks said “We would just recommend a high quality optical lens cleaner and gently clean with a soft cloth.” Do you reckon that would be enough to stop the fog?

Most likely, remember that your lenses didn't just roll off the same production belt as most mask lenses so they shouldn't have the same impurities, so they probably don't need such an aggressive treatment like other masks. I'd go easy, try their method and wear the mask around the house for a bit and repeat if it fogs up. But for any treatment test a little bit in a small corner first. And the water facing side of the lens doesn't need any treatment

Thanks Mark. I was going to use Sea Gold probably, and just give that a little buff with a cloth then rinse. Or could use Sea Drops...but will test first before applying to the whole lens. It’s such a good looking mask! Looking forward to using it this summer

I’ll have to go try one of these on! I really want the x deep frameless mask because of my big nose, but none of my local shops carry x deep products.

XDEEP are pretty new and they're expanding their dealerships. Keep asking your LDS though, if they know there's a demand for a brand then they may look into becoming a dealer...

Many of us use a red filter on our cameras, why not a mask with built in red filters….. to the workshop…
