This is one of those animals I would not have known as a kid that I shouldn't touch. I've probably held these without realizing they can cause skin irritation 😅

But they're just so fuzzy!

My dad showed me a black and white fuzzy caterpiller when I was young. He said they would sting. He told my sister and me that that we should never touch any caterpillars. Said most sting

I used to play with the tusik catapilars when I was a kid. Growing up on Long Island they were everywhere. Same thing with Gypsy morph caterpillars

I remember touching one of these as a kid. Thought it was a feather or something as it was hiding under the corner of the bottom part of the layer. It hurt a lot.

Nah you touched a dark wooly bear probably they hurt a ton and are everywhere feels like a wasp sting but multiple times because you usually touch more than 1 spike needles to say I still let them crawl onto my hand lol just so hard to resist holding a giant catapiller even if they want to murder you

@@yeet3071 Um... are you sure you're talking about wooly bears? We have them EVERYWHERE in New York and no, they don't hurt... like at all. Fuzzy little friends that I pick up and pet every time I see one. They have irritating hairs, but no stingers or spines. You must be thinking of another species. I also searched for "dark" wooly bears and found nothing. Can you find the specific species name you're referring to?

These guys are so cute!! I especially love the pale tussock caterpillars, I don’t get them where I live but they have the cutest little funny faces hehe! The adult moths are also fascinating, the males of some species remind me of bats with those big antenna.

If you guys do insects.. do you also do mites ? If so I'd like to see broad mites . If not that's fine. I love this channel and it deserves much more recognition 👏

2:18, is this also known for forest tent caterpillars? The thing that says I curl up when I die? I have seen a lot of forest tent caterpillars, and mostly now. But some of them curl up and don’t move, and they aren’t hanging from something.

My dad once got attacked by some kind of caterpillar. He was not seriously injured, but he was in pain and he got an irritation on his leg. Could this be a tussock moth caterpillar?
@AnimalFactFiles2 жыл бұрын
Perhaps! It may have also been a puss caterpillar? Here's a link to our video on them: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3KqYp1omrh1fac

That little stilt legged fly is certainly no predator. (Gralepeza nebulosa) I may have spelled that incorrectly. 😏

Musical animals? Or animals known for their musicality? I’m curious! Maybe you are too!
