Oh gosh I had a 30 marker for assessment week and the question was to evaluate the view of gender roles being equal in families in contemporary UK and I kept complicating the question because of the word contemporary 🤦🏻‍♀️ Do you think I can mention feminists sociologists and functionalists like parsons even if they’re not contemporary?

Key Points: - In traditional societies, male and female roles are segregated. Males will take on the instrumental role, while females will take on the expressive role. - In contemporary societies, male and female roles are integrated. Males and females split these roles more equally, often having interchanging roles, such as childcare and housework.
