Great video Neeraj. With X-Ray, can we report on tests done by specific testers (users)?

Is it possible to have the same test in different folders? For example I want to have my test in Folder for Sprint 1 and also for my Regression folder.

I would not do it that way, as you force yourself to maintain several versions of the test. Use the folders for your application e.g. 1. User login. Create all test cases for this part of your application and create test sets and test plans for different test levels and iterations.

great explanation I do have a question , Is it also possible to add bugs for retest on user repository ?
@TestinginNutshell
@TestinginNutshell Жыл бұрын
Thanks No the Bugs are jira specific issues so that can be included in Xray Test Reporsitory.

The Test Repository icon and section is not available in my projects, is it because I am using the free cloud version of Jira (2023), although Xray is paid ?

Hi. I am a test manager in an agile program where the testers create test cases from their user stories. If the testers execute their test cases using executions on the test cases, i cannot see the result in test plans, where i have added the test cases. Do i have to add the test executions created by the user or should we add all test cases to the test plan and create a test execution on the test plan instead ? please advice on the right approach to this.

Yes you should add the test cases and the test executions in a Test Plan and you can see the summary and execution report by assignee in the reports and dashboards.

Test Repository 📁: signup 📂: login ✅ : user can log in Could you also use it with the above structure if you do not want to do it with sprints or releases? and just build relevant tests sets stored in the repository?

what's the difference between test set and test repository
@TestinginNutshell
@TestinginNutshell Жыл бұрын
Hi Hamza, The Test Set is collection of tests to be executed at a time and used to call test for Test Executions. The Test Repository is more of like organizing your tests in different folders based on their category, process, level, etc

But how to clone a repo, it shows about how to move.
@TestinginNutshell
@TestinginNutshell Жыл бұрын
Hi what do you mean here by cloning a repo. If you meant you want to copy a folder containing tests. Then that's not possible as tests can only be created in Jira by using the CREATE button on top or by importing. Moving is a fare option as you can change the folder of a test by moving it. Let me know if it make sense.

@@TestinginNutshell Yes, for me the requirement was to clone a folder, but only option was to clone individual test case then add it into new folder. It is taking lot of time and is tidious process
