This could have been done at a more basic level. You could have incorporated keil into this somehow without an additional software download for people who go to institutions who don't allow additional software downloads.

So N-Queens can theoretically run at 1 gHz, if it is only accessing R0-R15, but other processing might be limited to 80 mHz, limited to external hardware. And with the Harvard architecture the CPU can read an instruction AND data simultaneously in one cycle with both address busses static and set at compile time. Oh boy.
