So I counted all blocks used and checked if it still works in 1.19.3, it does. Here's what you need to build it: 86 observers 37 sticky pistons 10 regular pistons 6 slime blocks 3 honey blocks 15 hoppers 3 droppers 2 note blocks 2 redstone lamps 26 powered rails 1 comparator 4 repeaters 1 redstone torch 1 lever 23 redstone 14 obsidian 4 (white) glazed terracotta 3 glass 2 (stone) slabs I did not count building blocks as well as stair or floor blocks, for example the quartz he uses. I discovered while building that it is very important you actually put 4 REDSTONE in the hoppers and droppers. If you put other blocks in there, the timing will be different, I didn't know that. Screwed up my first attempt and I had to restart. Also tip for @elctest6536 always include a block summary in your tutorials, makes it easier for people to prepare the build in survival.

@@derunterhandler5620 well I definitely saw this late. I built the 4 wide staircase twice (both didn't work) and was about to finish this 3 wide one just to find out that it doesn't work on multi :(

This may be due to Litematica rotations, but pasting it in results in it working properly facing West and tearing itself apart any other direction.

STILL WORKS! I built this in version 1.20.4 on a multiplayer server, facing south. (I'm confident it works when facing south and west, but I'm not sure about north and east.) Follow the tutorial precisely, such as using Redstone for the items inside the droppers and hoppers, and double-check where the observers are facing. I also built this on the first try, in between chunks so you don't have to worry about building this in a single chunk.

works lovely for me. Cant stop pressing the button to open and close it. Playing 1.20.2 multiplayer and dont have any issues. Be sure to NOT download the map and make a schematic out of the build, cause its a different one than he builds in the vid. Just follow along the tutorial and you should be good to go. I can really recommend it.

It works good but sometimes it gets stuck when you close it, the stair are hiding but the floor blocks arent going up, is there a part of the build i can trigger to make the second half only work?

You are wrong. It works every direction. You have likely misplaced some observers since the sides are cardinally locked and appear harder to read in other directions i.e. south, which was the way I built it with no problem,

Not suitable for server core that modified vanilla redstone features!!!You can download save from description then use world edit or litematica to make sure it can be work in your saves!

I tried to build it in 1.20.1. but it seems like there is one wrong input which is ruining the entire build. There is one set of stairs (if you would go down, it is the last one on the right side) which ends up being a block instead of a stairs. If you try it multiple times, it just breaks more and more eventually pushing blocks too high and breaking the timing entirely. I noticed that the first stair on the left side after the few tests of closing at the beggining won't end up at the spot where it was before, it is supposed to be above the slime block, but it was connected to it instead (so basically one block lower). Do you think you can come up with a fix? I tried 3 different times, but I always had the same issue. Anyway, amazing build, keep it up! EDIT: After the discussion in comments, I tried to rotate the stairs, so instead of North, they were facing South, after that, it started working without any issues, West should be working aswell, but I haven't personally tried that yet. Hope it helps to anyone with similar issues :)

Did u build it with a schematic from the world download? If so, its a different one than the one he builds in the tutorial. The schematic from the worlddownload doesnt work for me either.

@@Luis-mj8ew nope, I followed the video step by step, tried multiple times, even checked and everything should be fine (same as in the video). Most of the stuff was working, except that one singular piston.

@@patrikkupec hmm, thats odd, cause, as i said, for me it works just fine. The only difference is that i am playing on 1.20.2 and that i am playing multiplayer (u too??) which both shouldnt make a difference.

@@Luis-mj8ew I build it on my singleplayer world where my friends join me from time to time. But it shouldn't make a difference. As I said, the only thing not working is that singular piston at the bottom which is not getting back in the position, but stays a block lower than it should have been. I'll try it few more times when I get back to my Minecraft phase :D it seems like a timing issues to me

Working in 1.20.2, built in single player. My build was conveniently facing east as lots of people have been saying it needs to be east to work, not tested other orientations. Don't forget to get the right number of items in the hoppers (items must be ones that stack to 64)

After trying to build this on a multiplayer server a few times i can confirm the following: it works in the south direction, Also I do not see any block that would be affected by the cardinal directions in the build. If you follow the tutorial EXACTLY it does work on 1.20.1. HOWEVER! the activation and deactivation method must allow for the whole thing to do it's thing, redstone torch burnout, button timings, observers can mess the timeing up and break the machine. I suggest to use a T-flip flop with a repeater into the redstone lamp. This is currently working for me.

The mistake is on your sidem, I'm afraid. I just finished building 2 of these in 1.20.1 facing both west and south. Both work without any problems.
