Thank you for your quick reply. I really appreciate it. The main reason we want to use it outside JIRA is if it can make this tool more user friendly, quicker, more efficient and easier to organize and find what you need.

You can still do it by using Testing Board in Jira interface (Which you get after X-ray installation). It will give you dedicated window to manage all test related items alone.

I did start using Test Sets, but it only seems useful if you are certain the tests you group in it will always stay together, otherwise I go to test repository and make folders to organize the different groupings. this way I can go to that folder group and select all or some and add to an execution. I have not started working with stories, epics, scrum board yet so maybe my process is not correct,.

Hello, I have a question. I created several test cases and I put some specific labels for them in order to easily identify which feature they test. I also want them to be added automatically into a test set or test repository. Is there any way to do that automatically? I mean, If a test case has the label 'Feature1', I would like XRay to add this test case automatically into any test set/repository called 'Feature1'. Thanks!

Hello, Thank you for your video. Can you please tell me if it is possible to insert a Test Set in another Test Set?
@TestinginNutshell2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nicolas, Thanks for your feedback. Did you mean that you want to insert tests from one test set to another then its possible. But a Test Set within a Test Set is not possible. As they both stand at the same level. Let me know if this doesn't answer your query.

@@TestinginNutshell I had the same question. Maybe I know where the OP was coming from. Consider a scenario where I want to run test all test for an application, let's say API tests and selenium tests. Both of these tests have a set of tests for login page. What is test set in this case? Set of login tests or selenium tests?

Hey, Thank you for uploading these videos. These are really simple and helpful to understand X-Ray. Could you please help in explaining if we can use X-Ray outside of JIRA as a standalone application but still it should be integrated with JIRA ? Means, not to configure X-Ray within JIRA but to use it as a separate application but still it is integrated with JIRA issue types.

Hi Samriti, Currently X-ray is just an app available as a part of Jira. Cant be used as standalone application. Also, I see you have JIRA and you want to have this integrated with it so any specific reason why you wanted it outside Jira. I mean X-ray has a separate window in Jira when you navigate from Jira Menu -> Apps -> X-Ray
