Your attitude is so down to earth. And a few curse words are sometimes in order. Your braclet is beautiful. . This video made my day

I've just recently sparked up quite an interest in beading and bracelets, etc., so I've watched a ton of videos so far. I've gotta tell ya Ruby, I LOVE your videos because your not afraid to say the occasional curse word when your frustrated. ALL of us say a curse word from time to time when super frustrated. I love it that you are just being yourself, and not pretending to be someone else. Enjoyed your video, am looking forward to beginning jewelry making when I can better afford supplies etc.

I have got to say, I absolutely love your tutorials. You're so down to earth. Your lessons are clear, straightforward and so easy to understand. There's nothing artificial or artsy fartsy about you. You don't try to hide your mistakes. You just plow right through, lol. I think that's what I like most about you, in fact. If you didn't show your mistakes, how would anyone know how to fix them if they made the same mistake. Anyway, I love your teaching style. You're cool, lol.

What a fabulous idea for a bracelet. I really love the way it looks. It might be tedious to make but the end result is well worth it. Thanks Ruby.

I like your tutorial!! It shows me I'm NOT the only one that runs into problems!! And that's a relief!! Love the bracelet!! Never worked with memory wire yet but now I will. Thanks for the TIP on using "special memory wire CUTTERS" and not my regular ones.

Just got to see this video. Loved the realism of it. Now I know that I am not the only one who gets to the point of cussing and wanting to throw things. Love you Ruby and the teaching you do. This shows me I can, I can, I can .... do this.

Ruby, your bracelet is beautiful! Don't be so hard on yourself, it happens to the best of us. That bead on the end won't even be seen, I would just leave it, unless it really bugs you. I love your tutorials and your very beautiful and creative designs. And although some of your work looks complicated, the way you walk us through it and explain the techniques makes it easy to understand and less intimidating to try. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you for this very detailed tutorial. I watched 5 or 6 other tutorials on memory wire cuffs and none of them explain how to use the eye pins to secure the ends. Finally someone who has taken the mystery out of it. The bracelet is beautiful. I think you are a little too hard on yourself. Lol. I am the same way. I try to remind myself that these are handmade crafted items. They are not from a factory which is what makes them so wonderful and don't need to be perfect. Your instructions were so detailed that I feel confident I can reproduce it and the fact that you go over all the pitfalls is great and I am sure will save me countless hours of frustration. I will definitely subscribe to your channel so I can learn more. Your instructions are clear and thorough. I love the bracelet.

I am inspired by your video's and mesmerised by your teaching. You make me feel that I can do anyting with a load of beads and some wire. You're fabulous darling! My husband is thrilled that I've had to spend a fortune on posting as well as the rounduo's as I can't buy them here in the UK. I think it went someting like this, "You spent how much?" I reassured him that it was quite neccesary and then asked him how much he spent on his motorbike. He walked away with his tail between his legs...in silence! Hmmm, that'll teach him not to come between me and my beads.

Kudos to you Ruby! That memory wire can be a real pain in the tuccas and I have only made hoop earring with it so far. This is so pretty though that I am up for the challenge when I get some roundduos. I may get out that thin white foam tape to cover the beads at end. lol Excellant name the lady from facebook suggested. Thanks for keeping it real. Happy weekend to you!

I bought a 6 piece set of jewelry tools which included a flush type cutter from Michaels Craft store when I first started making jewelry around 4 years ago. They still sell the set and its still the same price. I have always used those cutters for memory wire and they have been fine. I never understood why people always warn not to use any except those that are made for memory wire. The whole set of jewelry tools is $10 and I highly recommend it. I used my coupon and got an even better deal.
@SuperDenise1287 жыл бұрын
It's like good sewing shears...if you cut hard wire it will put a "nick" in the blade. Then they wont' cut where that gouge is. Same with wire cutters.

I was thinking that if you end each wire with two seed beads instead of the large duo beads you might have less trouble making your end loops without cracking the beads.

Hello Ruby, love, love this bracelet. I have to buy this round duos. I want to ask you is this memory wire alumminum, does it get rusty?
@jeffo11109 жыл бұрын
+Maggie Santos I believe the memory wire is made of the same material as other jewelry wires i.e. copper or steel just ultra hardened so that it will retain it's shape "memory" but I am not sure, best to check the packaging at your local craft or beading store if they have some available to be sure.

TFS! I know it won't look like an abacus, but I have some 2-holed square beads and bricks on hand that I can use to do this cuff technique. My 2-holed beads are 6mm (rounduos are 5mm) so I guess I'll have to use 6/0 or 4mm beads in the beginning on the eye pin to account for the extra 1mm on each 2-holed bead. Anxious to give it a try.
