This tutorial will guide participants through building an Agent Based Model (ABM) using Mesa. Participants will build the seminal SugarScape model with traders of sugar and spice. The entire tutorial will be hands on and taught by lead developers of the Mesa team. Throughout the tutorial critical discussion points on the theory, benefits and challenges of ABMs will be discussed. Whether you are new to Python, new to ABMs, or a seasoned developer, this tutorial has something for everyone.
