Thank you! Please don't hesitate to do other Elektron/Eurorack videos, they are greatly appreciated!

What a great tutorial, didn't think the A4 was capable of this type of sequencing, thanks for the videos!

Very appreciated. Learned much more watching your videos than from the A4/AK manual. Thanks so much for taking the time and energy to produce these.

Could we get one more video where you just jam using only audio from your sequencer, but controlled by the A4? You know, really see you put it through its paces (complete with audio in p-locks)? A boy can dream, at least. :) Even if that never becomes a reality, thank you so very much for taking the time to make these.

Hello , I have an analogue four , this is interesting to me , Can you explain the type of cabling used to connect to the inputs on the modules. Because the a4 has 6.3mm sized stereo cv and gate outputs , normal patch leads are obviously two small. I have the Electron splitter cable but it does not seem to work for me. I am building my first modular system and am a raw beginner in this field but it is the best antidote to the telly at Xmas. This vid is priceless to me but the vital ingredient is not there , adapters and cable pics , please . Thanks v much. John Horrobin

Hi nedavine. Like your videos and music very much. One question please... i own the analog four and a microbrute. Is it possible to use modules like braids or dpo as 'standalones' without using other modules and without a eurorack case? I'd like to use the cv capabilities of a4 and microbrute and add another soundsource. These modules look pretty interesting. Thanks!

Unifono2012 well you must have a case other wise how will you power the modules? You can use braids without other modules (especially if you use the bees in trees firmware) but yeah probably better to build a small 3U to really get the most from it.
@Unifono20129 жыл бұрын
nedavine ok thank you. I thought maybe it's possible to power it without a case.

nedavine seems like I'm going to build a small rack. Can't resist... thinking about getting two oscillators and a modulator like maths. Can you go directly out of braids or sto into the a4 or is there a need for a amp, mixer?

Having a VCA or LPG is a huge benefit. Otherwise there is no way to stop the sound. My filter (Ripples) has a built in VCA so it's SUPER handy.

which cables you are using for controlling cv/gate a+b+c+d? got the A4 & a perfourmer - trying to figure still out how it works, seems that I do not have the right cables... :(

Question: to use the sample-and-hold-lfo with the modular, do you need to have that quantizer-module? 1) why? 2) what's the name of the module? Thank you so much!
@nedavine9 жыл бұрын
Dawid Dahl You only need the quantizer if you want t use the LFO for pitch. If you don't have a quantizer you will get values that fall between the notes making it sound out of tune. A quantizer just adjusts the voltages so that they fall in a scale. I am using expert sleepers - Disting in the video which is an awesome 16 in one module (check out mylarmelodies awesome video). I hope that helps.

Can u tell me how u split Cv a from b ? Or am i mistaken, can u send 2 cv messages over 1 kabel?
@grantsmith80298 жыл бұрын
Yes the cable is stereo so you need a splitter cable to do it
@livelifeimprovisationallim83148 жыл бұрын
Jub i'm following the same instuctions this guy's goves in the video can't really tell u anything else. One if for part of the stereo, but use just one cable wich is stereo, i got it wrong too before watching this, u can see he uses only one cable, so i guess one can also rig an other modular or synth with the other input...So part of one stereo cable, left or right is for pitch and the other one is for trig's i still have to finish it myself doh, u got any luck by now? My little phatty is no real modular synth but does have a cv pitch, volume and gate....Seems every synth has it's own cv values, wich i'll have to look up. Have a nice one btw

You can use the CV/Split cables which can be ordered at the elektron website :)
