I just wanted to ask when there are more videos going to come, diving deeper into this series on loksound soundslot design? I would especially be interested in the promised video on explaining all the available conditions.

Hello. Is there any difference between a 5 and 4 Decoder, compared to Soundslot?
@ESUDCC2 жыл бұрын
While the structure is very similiar and many of the features are the same, there are a few extra features in the LokSound 5 that do not exist in the V4. But this series will definitely help you understand the V4 as well.

Does this apply to Select Direct Micro decoders in Atlas N scale locos?
@ESUDCC2 жыл бұрын
While scale does not really matter in LokSound decoder programming, the Select decoders were not open for sound file creation like the LokSound 4 and LokSound 5 decoders. For the Selects, you can only use the ESU created Select files from our website. projects.esu.eu/projectoverviews/2

Thank you for this video, and hopefully all the upcoming ones. I am looking forward to this. I just made my first Loksound file for the Dutch railroad NS VIRM, and while it works, it is far from perfect. My sound file is here kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKTLaqiZoc6ZppI. My main issue is similar to the diesel sound you started talking about, and that is how to hold or coast a sound at a specific speed. Mine does not do that and the VIRM has a Thyrister shifting sound , similar to a taurus Lok, on acceleration it makes it hopelessly complicated in my current limited knowledge base. I hope you will go in depth on that in a future video.
