This is excellent information. Thank you. Another way I get a card to 26th position is to start with it 7th from the top, then do an out faro, followed by an in faro, and it will then be 26th. This is a method by Alex Elmsley.

Hello Josh! For the second thing you demonstrated under Automatic placement, it's a different principle. Most literature refer to it as the Principle of Equal Piles (Cartomagia Facil - Florensa, Thinking the Impossible - Rioboo, A Book In English - Aragon). Arthur McTier refers to it as X + 1 principle in his book Card Concepts. Even though they kind of have the same outcome, they are 2 different principles at play. For instance, the automatic placement requires you to know the amount of cards you're working on, and there's no need to replace the counted packet. For the other one, there's no need to know the number of cards you are using (complete deck or not) but you need to replace the counted packet back on the deck. I hope this clarifies things.

very nice video, but i never succeed to do a clean faro, always have two or more cards stick together in the middle, and cause of that i keep my hands far from tricks that includ faro.
