you can also add an environmental layer. This will pretty much create a reflection in the text from the environment in the clip. 1. Duplicate the clip 2. rename the duplicated clip env and set it so the layer doesn't show. 3.go to your element 3d settings and go to custom layers. 4. go into custom texture maps and set layer 1 to your clip named environment. 5. go to render settings -> physical environment -> override layer. hope this helps!

If you try to time remap in the same comp it won’t work. However if your selection everything and then right click there is an option called precompose, it will then allow you to time remap.

hey man, is there any way of running element 3D on a laptop using an intel processor/gfx card. just that my 3D text is appearing black in full render mode unless I change it to draft, which I have a feeling is linked with my pc specs

well, i made it myself a while ago, i dont have the file anymore, and the truth is making a trackible cinematic isnt hard. Just make sure it has a straight movement forward or backward and you should be good. Most cinematic pack cinematics don't work.

Take a png of your logo, select its layer, go to the bar at the top that says layer, click auto-trace, select ok on the pop ups and then use the new auto traced layer as your custom layer in element.

Make sure you are in the composition panel, you know you are in it when there is a light grey under line under the word composition or comp and it is right above your prev. Also if the analysis solve keeps failing then you need to use a different cinematic because that one can’t track.

For some reason, instead of making the current text 3D and blue, it creates a new text, which isn’t 3D

It’s 3D and it’s blue, it’s just that your lighting is probably screwed up and that the text isn’t extruded enough. Try again with a different cinematic.

Press s on the currently highlighted layer your in and a menu should pop down with a stop watch logo and a value displaying 100. Make that 100 lower and lower until the error message goes away.

There is nothing you can do about that. When it does that it is slowing down the program so your computers ram can process it. If it is cutting out after fully rendering then you either have gaps in your audio layer or it is another issue to which I have no clue how to fix.
