TUTORIAL: How to make a brass Sailor Moon tiara for cosplay

Awesome, thanks :) I was originally going to make mine out of craft foam, but seeing how "easy" (ok, possible) it is to make it with the sheet metal I can get in a craft store, I may have to give this one a shot. Though I'll probably mess up with the dremel, as I usually do.

@chocolate2429 It's called "spirit gum"...you can find it at any halloween or costume supply store. It's a sticky adhesive used for applying prosthetics and other costume goodies.

you could also use body tape to stick on the small tiara as well (I've found this out with a bindi I use for an OC of mine). Also, would this tutorial work with silver and/or steel sheet metals (for those of us who want to do an otaku senshi)? Any advice on putting a complex design (ie constellation) instead of the cabochon? I'm looking to make an Otaku Senshi cosplay. ^^

I sell them with elastic attached and you can hide the elastic under your hair or wig. I should have a video with how to wear an elastic tiara on my channel somewhere!

was wondering does brass tarnish at all? and how does sweat affect the brass after repeated uses?

+catrina tarr It can tarnish, but that's usually easy to take off with a good rub-down. What you really need to worry about is oxidization. Just be sure to wipe it clean every time you touch it with your skin. Oils will make it oxidize faster and that's a lot harder to take off.
