I have done several stirling engines with can coke that last few hours...but I learned few more tricks with this video using the wire mesh cloth and its proper aliment with in the displacer cylinder...again a job well done!!!

Considering the situation, I must say that is what I call very accurate bending of the crankshaft. Admittedly that one end is floating, but it is not easy to get a bent crankshaft run as truly as this one. Congratulations about a lot of issues of this design including using two compartments to line up the displacer connecting rod. Well done.

Good idea and looks well made compared to many others ive seen. Did you epoxy the 2 holes in the bottom of the middle can? why? on the other hand do you really think that when you point at one thing, then another, then another,.. that we actually somehow magically know what you mean by that? (in some cases yes, but in 95% of the time youre just waving your hands around maiking no sense- try adding some text)

I would use the engine's movement to run a fan that cools down the cold part of the engine, for slightly better efficiency (in this small engine).

You can use two nuts to keep the plate for the steel whool. Instead of the screw against the rod. Just tighten the two nuts against eachother where you want them to be, that way they can't move up or down the rod. And two nuts on the other side of the steel whool obviously. You way looks more professional though. Nice work.

Just my opinion, I'd stick to using candles for heat source, because it gets really hot under the can, and the fluid could burst or explode. candles won't. I don't know for sure, but, I'm just saying.....
