TUTORIAL - HOW TO WIRE A PIEZO MIC // MAGIC GLOVES AND CODING PROGRESS // CHAINES

How to make your very own magical music gloves (ie, piezo microphones stuffed inside of some janky sewing - simlpe, but effective!), and a general update on the progress of coding my audio game. You can also skip the sewing and use your mic to amplify your acoustic guitar, ukulele, violin, and more! Just tape/blue tack it on. :)

The blue tack (white tack) is a great idea. I’ll try that on the next one I make tonight. My contact mic is for the throat, around the vocal cord box and I might try one on my cheek- I noticed recently it vibrates too

Love the idea of using a piezo mic/sensor in clothing. The magic glove made me think of a glove with 5 small 1/2" piezo discs to be used as trigger/gate or even note/velocity input for a modular synth. And love the cats 💖 Do add some piezo discs in the cats scratching pole, that might get you some nice sounds to use

Funny. I always wire mine the opposite way (red and black switched). It works. So if yours work, too, maybe it doesn’t matter?

You must then use a shielded cable and use a balanced audio configuration using 2 microphones, otherwise it will pick up all sorts of noise
