Enjoyed your video. My machine needs repair: so nice to see some none sew alternatives. This is the first time I’ve watched. I plan to watch more.

Thank you Elaine! I hope you continue to enjoy my future videos. I need to take my machine in too....I'm sooooooo lazy! Truth be told, I'm scared it's going to need a very expensive repair!

Love it.I would not have thought to use a glue stick to do the ruffle, I think it would be less messy than wet glue.

Love the way you ruffled the material! I can't sew so could I glue it near the edge?

I tried this today and wow it worked except for one of my pieces of fabric, it just would not stick. I'm going to wash the fabric and see if it makes any difference. Thank you, new subscriber now ☺️
@WishesandWeeds5 жыл бұрын
That's wonderful! That's weird that one of the fabrics wouldn't stick! Rats! Any idea what kind of fabric it is?

Wishes and Weeds oh gosh, I'm a new sewer or I should say a regurgitated one ( my mother passed my sewing course in high school and I have bobbin phobia!!) I have no clue about fabrics, I thought it was cotton but it was also in a box I found in my garage!! I'll try washing and see 😳
@WishesandWeeds5 жыл бұрын
A bobbin phobia! Good for you - your getting "exposure therapy" by forcing yourself to sew!

Hi is this a better method than sewing with a machine? Also I didn’t understand what kind of paper to use for the strips. Do you use scrapbook paper is thick or computer paper? Does it matter? Tfs great tutorial love it….
@WishesandWeeds Жыл бұрын
I don't know that it is "better" - just an option for ruffles if you don't have a machine or you want to make a ruffle for a journal that is already constructed. I believe I used strips cut from a file folder. Cardstock would be just fine.
@christy7733 жыл бұрын
If you stitch with the largest stitch on the sewing machine, you can gather the strip by pulling 1 thread
