Masks are an indispensable part of color grading, and they can save your footage and make it more expressive. In this big episode, we will show examples of how masks can be used while editing 8-bit video clips shot on an affordable Canon. In particular, we'll study how to fix the overexposed sky, place color accents and create local contrasts. In addition, we'll examine how to combine the masks and how to animate a geometric mask manually.
We'll work both in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
