I would love to upgrade to the 20W on my LM3 but I’ll wait until you’ve eliminated the need for the board to hang on to the outside of the machine.

I think we will wait forever, I waited for 20W and would upgrade if there wasn't that nonsence of a board hanging, also if I could switch laser heads between 10 and 20, doesn't look switchable.

Funny it shows you on the LaserMaster 3 you just move the stop bolt to the second hole. I think they could of redesign that board placement and mounting setup and cleaned up all that clutter with that wiring. Its alot of money to spend on a upgrade with poor design work but the 20w Laser would be great to have.

Hello, friend. The suggestions you have made are practical. I will give feedback to Ortur's R&D group. Thanks for your suggestion and supporting of Ortur!😉

Well that is a little bit better but come on guys this should be housed inside the part on the front were the power, USB, and wifi are located. in one video I did see someone replace the front and then install the 20W laser it was a kit sent to him from Ortur why are you guys doing it this way?

I am happy for the upgraded laser head, but the additional circuit board is extremely janky. Ortur also doesn’t show you this in the photos of the product when purchasing it, which is deceptive to me. The installation makes it so that the LM3 will no longer fit in many laser enclosures because of a board and cable sticking 3”-4” out from the side. Not to mention you now have 2 full power supplies connected to this thing. Poorly implemented. I would have preferred to just open up the front section and replace the entire motherboard with a new one.

Check if tere are fans on the front section, if so, you don't need to use the OUC for connection.

My OLM3 doesn't have the second limit switch hole...and I'm NOT going to drill one in! I also am disappointed in the control board being installed like it is.

Maybe 3d print can help, I did see somewhere some dude printed limiters he has 20W module with z axis lifer so he should have third limiter hole. I agree, I give up on 20W module because of instalation nonsence. Not that I can't, but I won't. This is not 200$ machine like my ender I modified and tinker all the time.

You're invoicing a lot of money for such a silly poor installation option. This one is as bad as the first one. Unfortunately I placed my pre-order prior getting to know this 🙄

What is the safe way to turn off the laser? Just unplug it?
@orturnet10 ай бұрын
The best way to do this is to wait for the job to finish, disconnect the laser engraver, and then long-press the button to turn it off.
