This is such a great design but this tutorial is very hard to follow! It took me like 3 hours but i finished it!

Though I appreciate the time and effort that went into this tutorial, this is going to be a rough one for beginners. I could barely keep up. There is the missed fold that must be a sink fold of the cone on top of the head at 18:30, and there is very little description of what is being accomplished during the dog's muzzle section and the reverse color fold. You just gotta go slow and attempt to extract what the fold looks like from the millisecond irene accidentally shows the completed fold. I'm sure this was a freshman attempt at origami tutorials, so not bad if that was the case, but there is definitely room for improvement i.e. pausing to show the completed fold, and pointing to the reference points before doing the fold.

I had some trouble with this one, specifically with the smaller details on the head - the artists hands are covering many of the folds. I'm on day two, and third version trying to get this folded properly. It is a complex model, I recommend playing it a .25 speed at certain parts.

also having trouble with the hind leg crimp, any recommendations?

I am so sorry that the folding is not as clear. Thank you for your valuable feedback. Will take note for future tutorial. Thank you for watching and for being so patience. Happy Lunar New Year :-)

I got halfway through, you do amazing work but please work on your presentation. It was so difficult to understand, even when slowed down to the max, the steps were still not obvious. Your hands block very important steps though you could make it a lot easier for people to understand bc from what I saw, even though it being a pretty advanced origami, its not impossible. Sadly I gave up on this because it was too frustrating, would love more thought through tutorials though and will be back for them !
@SweetAsylum6106 жыл бұрын
Your fingers block too much of what you're doing. You should pause and show us what you did after each fold before moving on. We cannot see a thing and cannot follow along.

Thanks so much for the video! This model is really difficult for me. I reckon it is intermediate-advance level. I have the book and had problems following the written instructions. My tip is to watch certain parts at 0.25 speed and use the recommended size of 25 cm x 25 cm paper.
@ireneblchua4 жыл бұрын
It's good that you have the book. It's easier to understand both ways. All the best and happy folding 😊
@undershortmayhem4 жыл бұрын
Compeltely gave up during the last steps and crumbled my paper. The instructions become unclear as the small folds are covered up by your fingers, there is no time between steps and no way to check if I am doing them correctly other than pausing and rewinding the video over and over again.

Is there a step missing between 18:29-18:30? I have a excessive part at the back of the puppy's head at18:29, seems magically disapeared when shift to 18:30...

@XYanluowangC4 жыл бұрын
I rarely put a dislike button, but like many people said, you always have your hands moving in front of the paper. It's hard to follow. I have to pause and replay again to understand it well. I think you should put your voice and take little break for the viewers. Hope you will take this advice to improve this channel. :) This dog seemed nice to dog, but I surrendered at 15:00 ^^

I feel like sobbing, that is the amount of time it takes to get one simple step right, and even when I do, it's by pure coincidence, because guess what, repeat steps on the other side is not an instruction. Anyway Maybe a pro would still get it But I give up

This is the first time I've ever given up on trying to complete an origami tutorial. At 7:39 I replayed so many times and tried refolding that now I have a hole in my paper and can't continue. It's not a good sign that this is only 1/4 of the way through.

Like the concept, but I definitely lack the patience at the moment. There are some very convoluted unfolding and refolding that would have been great to show slower and from different angles. Thanks for trying - perhaps I will come back for this one day but for now that was 30 minutes I can never get back XD

Terrible 'tutorial'! Way too fast and not clear. Had to stop en rewind constantly, even slowing down the pace didn't help. In stead of enjoying it, it was frustrating, going to look for another one. If making tutorials don't just fold on your own pace, but pause and explain if you want us to learn. The result is lovely and I like to learn.
