I've just completed this and I'm wondering, how can we grey out the department name select list (dropdown) and/or the employee name text field, depending on the radio group option selected?

Bro, I tried to do as you do just following your steps. But when I click the submit button after selecting option department or name it shows the following error: failed to parse SQL query : ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended.

this is for dynamic "where" conditions, somebody know how do for dynamic attribute in select?

columns will not be defined dynamically, only where clause may be changed based on input parameters.

@@OracleTestlab thanks for your quick reply . I am pretty new to apex . Could you please explain me in detail. In general in many programming languages we will write logic in button event to generate a report . What are the actual steps you did in apex . Thanks again

In this demo, the button by default works only to submit the page. And the report it automatically rendered.

Take a html region, take an option item, a select list and a text field. Take a button to submit the page.

Hi Brother ,I have a requirement here . We have near 600 tables in our database. And each table has more that 500 columns. I want to select table name dynamically and display all columns in the screen fro that table. Is there any limit in Oracle Apex on Columns?.Can we pass table name through page item value (select * from :P2_Tables_name) ?.Could you please suggest me ?

Although I never tried to select table name dynamically in a query, but I believe it's possible if you do function returning sql query. Apex has limitations in number of columns to be selected, It's 50 in tabular form, not sure about classical report.

HI Brother,I have also tried with Function returning SQL query but the problem is that we have few tables with more than 600 columns in it . What I want to know is that ,will Apex support to display these 600 columns on the screen ?. Is it a better idea to chose Apex for the development?.
