Hi Arturia Sorry to ask here Can i use the individual out ( Kick / Snare / Hi Hat / FM ) and plug directly into my eurorack using a 3.5mm patch cables? Can i use the Mix Output and plug directly into my eurorack with 1/8 to 1/4 jack also ? Is the 2 pulse setting for clock out the best way to sync to a Make Noise Tempi?? ( 48kpps ) was too fast Cheers Its a Great Drum Machine Still learniing

When you route e.g. the snares to the effect unit, the snares will bypass the master output. Do they then bypass the distortion too?

Should have explained it a bit better for someone like me who is just getting into this yet hasn't got a clue where those main jackleads are going to. Ive watched 20 videos and those leads go off to a forbidden land in every one. I'd love to know the very basics just setting this up with a synth so i can jam out. Every video seems to be beyond my level. Ill figure it out i hope when it arrives this week :)

Hello I love my Drum Brute impact, would it be possible to add a function "sequencer receive midi notes "? I would use one of the midi tracks of the drumbbrute to record notes from my hardware synth in the sequencer and they would be send out back to the synth like on the beatstep :)

Hi Pablo, The sound board of the DrumBrute Impact is fully-analog, so there is no digital conversion of the instrument parameters. Therefore, it is not possible to modify them using MIDI CC messages. DrumBrute Impact is all about hands-on tweaking. Best regards,

Hi Dziobak, Well, the probabilities for us do so are pretty low. DrumBrute impact is thinner than the current width of RackBrute. We favored to make is small-sized rather than compatible with the link system which would have implied to make as wide as a MiniBrute 2 without other benefits. We understand that a part of our DrumBrute Impact would have appreciated this however. We will take it into account for future product related decisions. Best regards,

It doesn't automate like that. This is a pretty basic, bare bones, drum machine. Very interactive, but not automate for pitch and such. If you are looking for something more robust, you would be looking at the RYTM.

Question... Is the sequence on the synth actually being fired by the Impact or it just running on the same bpm because clock is synced? If it's just BPM... is there a way to have the impact fire the synth like a sequencer?

Hi tothefinlandstation, As far as I know the Volca Sample's MIDI implementation is a bit singular as each sample slot has its own MIDI Channel. At the moment, DrumBrute Impact's sequencer communicates on a single MIDI Channel so it cannot sequence Volca Sample. Best regards,

hey, when i sync it to my volca sample - the sample is going crazy, like 300bpm while the drumbrute stays at 130. how can i fix that?

@@fredfrancke3723 you'll want to change the clock rate. Press and hold the sync button, you'll probably see 24P, now turn the Rate / Fine knob to 2P (that's the standard for Volca). This is in the manual by the way in section 8.3.

Hi! If you use the MIDI port Out from DrumBrute impact, into the MIDI port In of your Audio interface, you should be able to achieve what you want :)

@@FutureAbe I just have to say that you won't be able to tweak the sounds coming from your DAW with the DrumBrute impact. Only the MIDI triggers will work. I would personnaly suggest you to get another unit, like BeatStep Pro, if you just want to control a virtual DrumRack, but if you like the Analog sound of DrumBrute impact, go for it ;)

Hi Scott, yes the sequencer send MIDI notes so you can create a dedicated Ableton Drum rack with DrumBrute Impact as the MIDI In, and trigger samples! Cheers!

Posting the reply from Tech Support here in case others are wondering.... “Unfortunately the swing would be internal, and would not be applied to the clock itself otherwise this would be contrary to the norm, You should however be able to add swing by sending sequences via midi and using swing in your daw if there's a midi effect which supports its introduction”

Arturia Drum Brute Impact sounds. Snare 1 and its colour variation is probably the best snare drum on any analogue drum machine ever, the hi hats and cymbal are fantastically metallic like an analogue DM should be. The FM drum is usable. The Toms and Cowbell are weak and are a waste of space. The Bass Drum is OK but not as good as the little Korg Volca beats BD. All in all not perfect but no way is it trash, the sequencer is brilliant.
