Is there a function that allows this to act as a standard repeater instead of a "parrot", "simplex", or 'store and forward"? I have not been able to get any clear I formation and would like to have normal functionality.

Simplex is hotspot RX TX Same frequency, just need one radio GM338. Duplex is repeater mode , RX ,TX with diff frequency,and question please email to [e-mail] or add my Facebook , see my KZbin homepage . 73!

It's been a while but I wanted to answer anyway. Not all trunk groups route through the servers. So a TG 9, usually called Local, will not route to the server, and the duplex MMDVD, as shown will only output local RF, making it stand alone. You can also leave out the server from the Hotspot and use it locally with no way to route to the internet. A simplex hotspot will not be able to do this for obvious reasons.

One possible fatal mistake is that you failed to mark which board goes to the RX radio and which goes to the TX radio. Good way to burn up equipment. Especially today in 2023, good luck finding a Raspberry Pi.
