When I review Hubspot it appears the "Starter" pricing is $20/month (with a discount) and it includes 2 users. So, it's actually $10/month per user. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Seems like PipeDrive is just simpler and easier - Hubspot has great features but seems really overwhelming for a beginner who wants something simple to manager contacts and categorize and note them into different stages.

You got it. I may even throw Agile CRM into the mix. It's more affordable and a lot of the top tier features are included in the plans instead of being an additional add-on. For example, if you want to capture leads directly from your website into your CRM, Agile CRM does that in the $9 monthly plan. For Pipedrive, that's an additional $32.50 for the month.
