I'm REALLY impressed at the turning radius of those trailers!! And especially the way the turning mechanism appears to be automated based on the hitch linkage between the truck and trailer. Clever design!!

@9johnpaul5 жыл бұрын
Yes, but what you need to watch is when they lift one (not either of these two) off the trailer and set it on the ground and caboom one end gives and it falls and the other end falls.

trains are a little taller than trucks, for example, truck is 4 m and freight or passenger cars are 4,4 m. there's even bigger trains like bilevel 5 m and over wheel bilevel 6 m.

That made my day seeing that ! As many semi-trailers are carried on American Railroads, it's about time we carried a locomotive.

We actually do carry locomotives around just not the full 200tons. The frame, trucks, engine and body parts are all separate loads on separate trucks. Trail king doesn't make a 200ton gvw truck trailer combination for us hwys.

Sorry we used to not f around when came to hauling. These days because of do gooders red tape. It'll take about 3 months advance notice they'll give, about 500 pagers off paper work, you'll have to do. If one thing is out off place on the day, they'll fine you plus make you go on, another day, costing 1000's of $$$. Because one page is not right. If your lucky they'll let you go but you'll still be paying some kind odd a fine. Back in the 70's 80's & too about 1992 it was easy no making around just make shore everything's ok, but not over done like today. Red tape has too go. Cost so much, people can't run a business

That was excellent filming, really enjoyable, l am pretty sure those CF class locomotives were leased to one of the mining CO’s either BHP or Rio-Tinto from Chicago freight car leasing Australia (CFCLA)for use on their Infrastructure trains not actually hauling Iron ore, as the GE & EMD loco’s the miming CO’s use are far higher Horsepower units & are actually all built over in the USA and are shipped over to Port Hedland WA, & are also are all US specked & are much larger than the largest Australian main line units used in the mainlines due to the smaller loading gauge, l may be not entirely right & hope to be corrected.
