Dude, this is the best 2D madness animation I've seen so far. The retrowave style you've done and its wide range of colors have fitted the madness world perfectly. I also really like lots of small details you added, like gum shooting pistol, agent on conveyer belt, soldat's in-head implant and the whole amount of volumetric models you've done (especially weapons) . Expressions in characters' movements are also great and finally kickings in combat look legit. To be fair, everything looks like if you added a ragdoll for any moving thing. As a result: 12/10, The Witcher III from the world of Madness animations.

Damn! That was awesome! Love the Retro-era take on madness, really cool to see the stylistic shift. Animation was amazing, fight scenes were great, loved all of the little flairs like the dialogue boxes. Story telling was great, being able to set up what retropilis is, why it's the way it is, how it fits into the madness world, who our characters are, what the stakes of the story are, all in a 6 minute madness animation with kicker fight scenes to boot. I love the perspective shift at 1:53, very cool. You really hit the nail on the head with the style. Looking forward to the next installment

This is easily the best Madness fan animation I’ve seen yet. It has it’s own whole backstory, and I love how detailed the combat is, instead of being crazy killing machines like Hank, you can tell the protagonists are less skilled, they actually get beat up and injured and stuff. It’s cool to see some more natural fighting like that. It also has very unique stylisation despite being a fan animation, which is awesome, especially considering I’m already a huge fan of the whole 80s outrun aesthetic. That’s not even to mention that the animation itself is so well done and smooth. Looking forward to more Feelings in the future!

It was an incredible experience. As usual, I will divide my review into positive and negative points. Let's start with the positives. -Enemy INTELLIGENCE: It's crazy, ever since Vlad Clown's "Sword 3", I see a lot of animators trying to improve the intelligence of their enemies. I like the fact that your enemies move, they strike, they are not static like a Kamikaze, I really like the look of your soldiers, they really have an impact on your character. Posters: There is clearly a certain originality in these posters, it's far from the Krinkels posters that many animators use without trying to create a new one. Your posters are rather coherent with the background. -The 3D phase and the different angles: This is also a positive point, the different angles you put in your backgrounds make the animation fluid and pleasant, as for example at 1:54 of the animation or at 0:39. -All the references to Madness Project Nexus 2: Having seen Hank's Fate I wasn't really surprised by this BUT as you can see Tuvster has implemented some new effects, if you remove the basic enemies (Grunt; Agent; Engineur and Soldier), he has put for example, the question mark at 3:11, when a character speaks there is an effect that appears, for example at 2:26 when the Soldier says "We are under attack". There is also the first aid box at 2:22 and there are more lines of text at 3:44. -The music: For this, I'll use the example of the fight scene with the soldier at 3:20 so you'll understand better. The music will adapt to several situations, for the fight of BIBI against the soldier, the music will remain rather normal between 3:10 and 3:20 but from 3:20 to 3:28 the music will change completely to make us understand that the soldier is ready to fight, then the music will take a VERY low tone expressing the danger and the disadvantage that BIBI has towards the soldier between 3:38 and 4:00, then finally from 4:00 to 4:11 the music will take a higher tone which represents the advantage that BIBI is going to have on the soldier and finally the music will stop brutally to signify the end of the fight. There are other scenes like this that I could have said but I chose the most important one. -Blood: It's cool that you made an effort on the blood, like the splashes or the bruises your enemies have. BIBI and Victor's vocal lines, they're cool and fit the theme of your animation, for example in the line "Let's kick their asses out of here, huh?" or "GOTCHU" at 2:36. -The transition between 3:05 and 3:08, in 1 word, BEAUTIFUL. Well, we're done with the positives now let's move on to the negatives, these negatives don't ruin the animation they're just little mistakes I could see. -The dead agent moving without the platform movement (at 2:01) - There is only one building at 4:25 that is not finished. - It's strange, at 1:28 there is a line that passes low the platform where the grunt is. -Big mistake at 3:44, you have marked on the text line "Soldier" instead of "Agent". -At 1:17, BIBI is going to shoot the bonnet of this car, BUT at 2:24 the scratch on the bonnet is suddenly gone. -BIBI staying completely still between 3:20 and 3:27, I know, it's EXTREMELLY killjoy to say this considering how long Tuvster took on this project, but it's still a shame that BIBI stays still while the soldier talks. -BIBI who, at 1:43 is injured by an agent in the face, but at 1:48 the injury has disappeared. That's about it. Now I'll mention the scenes that amazed or makes me laugh. -We see at 3:46 a survivors (if we remove BIBI and Victor) died from a sword blow below the stairs. - BIBI quietly escaping without the soldier or an agent seeing him at 5:09 -The policeman arresting a criminal (I suspect the person holding the Mac-10 to be the complice of the person who arrested him) 0:39. -The engineer who asks the grunt to keep an eye out for a potential enemy at 1:24. -The soldier who gives BIBI a code name "The Cat" at 4:58. BIBI: 27 ennemy Killed Victor: 6 ennemy Killed OUF this review is finally over, honestly this project really blows me away, obviously at the very end of the video we see a sort of mini-trailer for episode 2.
